Join the Connemara Fishing Company’s exclusive Salmon Fishing Course, taking place this June at Delphi Lodge. This course covers summer Salmon Fishing basics, from reading the water in front of you and identifying salmon lies, to fly and line selection and how to adapt presentation and approach in varied summer conditions on Irish spate rivers.
The course takes place over a 4 night stay at Delphi Lodge, with 3 active fishing days that include learning material in the form of custom curated literature, as well as comprehensive practical on-water teaching and expert guiding from our team.

Our Salmon Fishing course consists of a 4 night stay at the luxurious Delphi Lodge, with a full 3 days guided fishing on Delphi’s prestigious Bundorragha River and the famous Fin Lough.
The Course covers the basics of Salmon fishing on Irish Spate rivers, and aims to give you solid foundations in your future Salmon fishing career.
We detail how to approach a new system, give you tools to help you read new water, systematically breakdown your decision making in terminal tackle and fly selection, as well as teach you new effective casting techniques and fishing presentation methods.
The courses learning aims and outcomes are fully detailed in a comprehensive and custom made physical information booklet that will be given to you on arrival at Delphi lodge, and will be sent to you electronically on completion of the course.
All necessary Terminal Tackle available for rent if needed.

our comprehensive 4 day, 5 night courses will transform new anglers from novices who have never held a fly rod before, into complete and competent anglers able to execute a wide variety of effective fishing casts, as well as adapt their approach, techniques and fly selection to suit their target and water conditions.
The course includes custom curated literature as learning material, as well as extensive practical on-water instruction and expert guiding from our team.

4 Day Beginner Fly Fishing Course

Our beginner fly fishing course consists of a 5 night stay at the luxurious Delphi Lodge, with a comprehensive 4 day beginner fly fishing course.
The Course covers the basics fly fishing, covering everything from necessary equipment and tackle set up, essential casting techniques, as well as fly selection and a variety of effective fishing methods and techniques.
The course consists of a full day and a half where you will master your Fly casting technique, followed by a full two and a half days of active fishing for brown Trout and Sea trout on the Delphi System, with the course culminating participants chasing Atlantic Salmon on their final day.
